Pray for the soul of Mis Anderson late of Moate died 28th Janry 1761. The remains of John Mulcahy most expert doctor of medicine who having once travelled in France and Italy, finally on this his native soil, in the ninty-seventh year of his age, and in the year of Christ Redeemer 1704, departed this life.  His son Nicholas saw to this tomb and the engraving of the little verses. In this tomb lies the renowned pupil of Apollo, who delivered sound life to many and who so often removed deadly poison from others, alas he has been overcome by death’s wound.  That here however, he is wholly concealed, do not believe traveller that beneath this tomb dust and solely bones remain, and flourishing with the better part now that he is dead prevails with prayers.  Reader add to the prayer. Epitaph of the same man’s wife, Joanne Comerford and it will be pleasing to remember Joanne his bed companion who equally lies enclosed in this sacred marble, being together, one love alive, one will dead.  Already likewise ash longs for ash, both you Christians and true faith joined to the same godhead give votive offerings and prayers for their souls.  She died in the seventy second year of her age and in the year 1715 of Christ Redeemer.
