Rev. John  Byrne  1872-1931, son  of  James  Byrnes  1834 -1998  &  Margaret  Ryan, had  this memorial erected. He served as a priest at St. Jarlaths Church in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He  was interred  in  the ' Priests Circle '  in  Calvary  cemetery  in  Evanstown, Illinois.

His  younger  brother, James  Byrnes 1862-1938, married  Catherine  O'Meara  1874 -1955, daughter of  Daniel O'Meara  &  Johanna  Hanly  of  Bohercarron, Duntryleague,  Co.  Limerick  on the  22nd Feb 1905  in Galbally  RC, Co.  Limerick.

Children  born  to  them  included  Margaret  Byrnes 1907-1992, Johanna 1908-1974,  James  1910, Daniel  1911,  John  1913 -1995  &  Kathleen  1915 -1982.

Margaret  Byrnes 1907-1992, emigrated  to  the USA  and  married  Edward L  Farrell  on  the  15th Apr 1942 in  Cook  County, Illinois. She  died  in 1992  in Merrillville,  Lake  County,  Indiana, USA.

Johanna  Byrnes  1908-1974, also  emigrated  to  the  USA  and  married  Robert  Joseph  Mulcahy  on the  3rd  Aug  1935  in  St  Sabina  RC  in  Chicago, Illinois
