In sacred and loving memory of William Henry Meredyth of Norelands D.L and J.P. only son of Sir Henry Meredyth 4th Baronet and formerly in the 7th (Queen's Owns) Hussars. He died in Guernsey November 6 1878 aged 49.
This cross is raised to his beloved memory by his widowed wife Harriet Anne Meredyth in testamony of his many gentle virtues and her deep grief.

Centred on left kerb in relief PX, Chi Rho symbol, centred on right kerb are Greek letters Alpha and Omega in relief, and at the base centred IHS in relief .
Sir Henry Meredyth was a son of Sir Henry of Carlandstown Co Meath interred KK-SPEN-021.
His mother was Mary Ann Bayly only daughter of William E M Bayly ESQ of Norelands.
With reference to coped recumbent cross, see wall memorial tablet inside the Church KK-SPEN-088 erected by her sister Sarah L Steel which states her death to be 2nd march 1895.
Harriet Anne was the eldest daughter of Rev William Le Poer Trench.
She was married to Sir Henry William Meredyth on the 12th april 1862 leaving issue Henry Bayly born 14th January 1863 William Clayton born 7th October 1865 died 3rd of January 1888 See stained glass window in Church KK-SPEN-081
