To the Glory of God and in Memory of Very Rev James Daly M.A. last Warden of Galway died 1864
The pulpit bears a commemorative Ins. to Warden Daly on its front. Inc'd. Ins. in a long "motto scroll" set in a Gothic arch. See also No. 404 and 137 for Rev. James Daly. No. 404 is a further commemorative plaque in the church while his actual burial place and that of this wife is beneath No. 137 in the graveyard. Warden Daly was an influential and popular man who was involved in the politics of the town. He was a member of numerous committees and other bodies.
