Persse, of the firm of Newcastle, who died last evening, of a few hours illness, from cholera. To all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance, his sudden demise must become a source of the most unfeigned sorrow. He was affable, good natured and kind. A numerous circle of relatives and sorrowing friends of the first respectability in the town, endeared by whom as he was, that nothing but the withering hand of time can efface him from their memory".
