A large Rect. R.S. bearing an Inc'd. Ins.. The date and names are in Italics. Above the inscription is a coat of arms which is cut in low false relief. The arms are three rosettes, with, in chief, an antlered deer head. The arms are surrounded by foliate mantling. The motto "FIDELI ET AMCIVIS" is incised in an upturned bow-shaped configuration below the arms. See also No. 20 for Richard Mathews.
