This is a free-standing tomb resting on the base of a triangular section with a bevelled top and sides. Inc'd. Ins. in block capitals. There is tooling on all the surfaces, most notable on the sides of the base. The stone is in an excellent state of preservation. The mason's name (H. Clare & Sons) occurs. These masons had a workshop at the rear of No. 35 Forster St., Galway. The monument is identical in form to No. 141. The Rev. Rudd was associated with the Society of Irish Church Missions to Roman Catholics.
