Esq born Nov ye 1st 1749 with evry grand
ingredient that makes a gentleman brought
into view improv'd by on easy polite
education eminently distinguished through
a series of manly benevolent actions
which added lustre to a generous
exhalted nature after a short life if 22
years to ye regret of a whole county
he was torn from his friends by a
malignant fever on ye 22nd of Octr 1771
Mary Anne his wife through tender
affection to perpetrate ye memory
of a character ever dear to his
friends had erected this monument

Hugh Ingoldshy Massy born 1/11/1749 died 22/10/1771, was the son of Hugh Fitzjohn Massy and Frances Ingoldsby he married Ann Nash the daughter of James Nash. he died in 1771. His sister was Catherine Massy born 1744
Hugh Fitzjohn Massy was the son of John Massy. He marries Frances Ingoldsby, daughter of Henry Ingoldsby and Catherine Phippscirca November 1743, after being abducted by Hugh he died in 1770. Frances Ingoldsby died in 1755
