North Side: SACRED/ to the memory of/ GEORGE KINGSMILL/ L.B.M.D. Eldest son of /Parr Kingsmill of/ the City of Kilkenny/ formerly of the 88th/ Connaught Rangers/ SURGEON KINGSMILL/ served in the/ 32nd Punjab Pioneers/ at Dehli and Lucknoo during the Indian Mutiny./ he was afterwards for many years Civil Surgeon at Montgomery/ Lahore./ He fell asleep in Christ the 5th Jan 1882./ Blessed be the dead etc., East Side: Sacred/ to the memory of/ PARR KINGSMILL Esq./ Many years an Alderman/ & once Mayor/ of the City of Kilkenny./ He departed this life/ March 11th 1840 aged 51 years. Not Placing dependence on/ An unblemished character/ He looked to his/ Redeemer alone / For salvation/ And found peace in him/ At his last hour. South Side: Sacred/ to the memory of /Mary Kingsmill/ wife of/ Parr Kingsmill Esq./ Mayor Kilkenny/ daughter of Major Kingsmill/ who died 15th May 1884/.
