Her obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Esther (Essie) Cotter ( née ) Fitzgerald of 7 Marian Terrace, Hospital, Co. Limerick on the 23rd November 2020. Essie passed away unexpectedly but peacefully,

 Deeply regretted by her loving husband Davie, sons Billy & David, daughters Mary, Anne, Christine & Caroline, sisters Masie & Mela, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family relatives and friends.

 Essie will be reposing at Daverns Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick  on Wednesday 25th  November from 11am until 7pm. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, her family will not be in attendance.

Essie will arrive at St. John The Baptist Church, Hospital on Thursday 26th November  at 11.20am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Essie's husband David ( Davie ) Cotter died on the 10th July 2022. His obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of David ( Davie ) Cotter of 7 Marian Terrace, Hospital, Co. Limerick on the 10th July 2022. Predeceased by his wife Esther ( Essie ).Sadly missed by his sons Billy & David, daughters Mary, Anne, Christine & Caroline, brothers Peter & Gerry, sisters Anne & Bridget, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a wide circle of kind neighbours, carers and friends.

 Davie will be lying in repose at Daverns Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick on Tuesday 12th July from 5.30pm until 7pm. Davie's funeral cortège will arrive at St. John The Baptist Church Hospital on Wednesday 13th July at 11.50am for reception prayers followed by requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
