Mr. THOMAS AUGUSTUS SHIELS

Late of the Four Courts in this City

Who after a protracted and severe ilness

Which he bore with true christian fortitude

Resigned himself to the author of his being

In the 29th year of his age on the 4th day of

May in the year of our Lord 1828 leaving

A widow and two infant children to deplore

His loss, he was a man blessed with those

Endearments and christian virtues which

Renders his loss deservedly regretted an

attentive and affectionate husband

A loving father and sincere friend

He is gone to inherit everlasting bliss
