The Slieveardagh Hills in south Tipperary have a rich, deep history and a community active in researching this history. Slieveardagh Rural Development and South Tipperary Development Company have commissioned Historic Graves to train a community team to survey and publish up to 20 historic graveyards in the barony. Training commenced in Killenaule and Ballingarry and also encompassed graveyards at Buolick, Kilcooley and Ballinure. The community team then continued to survey their own graveyards, involving students from local Transition Year classes in Ballingarry, building a tourism and heritage resource to benefit the whole community.
