Denis Duggan Carriganish, who died 5-4-1946, was buried here. His father was also Denis and his mother Mary. He is probably a direct decendant of the Denis Duggan commemorated in this grave.

Denis Duggan of Carriganish, in the parish of Aghinagh, is listed in Griffith's Valuation (1852) as leasing a house, offices and land from John Connell of the same townland, valued at £6.10.0. He is also listed in the 1833 Tithe Applotment Books as a landholder.

Joan Duggan Hinchion, who lived with her husband Dermot Hinchion in Carriganish, was a direct decendant of Jer H. and Denis Duggan.
