Nay say not dead she liveth still
In that bright land above
Where rest can’t fade nor sorrow quell
Her happiness or love
She lived but virtuous life
Beloved by great and small
Till cruel death soon slayed the life
She answered to his call
Yet still in Heaven she lives above
The saints at her rejoice
Her schoolmates wander why it is
They cannot hear her voice.
