In the memory of Francis Drew Esq. M.D. of Meanus Co. Kerry & Mocollup Castle Co.Waterford, eldest son & heir of John Drew Esqr of Drew’s Court Co. Limerick. His genius, learning, fortune and ancient lineage were graced by humility & great benevolence. He was the familiar friend of the humble & the poor whose sorrows he mitigated & whose wants he generously relieved. He died Sept 3rd 1787 aged 79.

Vir avorum sanguine valde nobilis, animo suo nobilior.

Also of Arabella his wife, eldest daughter & co-heiress of Colonel William Godfrey of Kilcoleman Abbey, Co. Kerry, great grandson of John Godfrey Esqr of Romney Co. Kent, Lieut Colonel in Ludlow’s Regiment of Cuirassiers. She died Jany 3rd 1804 aged 69. This monument has been erected by some of their descendants in veneration of their memory.”
