Translates to John Fitz Geoffrey, Mediaeval ( 13th Century) coffin shaped slab with,human head in high relief resting on pillow, showing clerical headdress positioned above, stylised cross in low relief extending centrally downwards to foot of slab.
Inscription Lambardic in relief, under an arm of the left hand side of the cross. In 1966 Lord Dunboyne concluded, it must commemorate JOHN son of Geoffrey who founded the Agustinian Priory of Kells see Ormonde deeds 1-30 lands of Hunsnach (Ennisnag) also Ormonde deeds 153 and 94.
