- - the Body [C]ourtney - - -1 Sampson - - Ant" - -
A fragment of a gravestone (probably a R.S.) of 18th or 19th century date. There is a single-line Inc’d. border and the Ins. is Inc'd.. Two names [C]ourtney and Sampson occur on this stone, both may be most likely interpreted as surnames, though the latter is also a Christian name which could have been used when the stone was cut, possibly at the end of the 18th or during the first half of the 19th century. ^
