Cooke (1895), 294, mistakenly gives the name as "John Hope 1666". FitzGerald (1895-97), 463. Fleetwood Berry (1912 B), 65 gives the date as the " 15th of May" by mistake. This is now set in the wall of the chancel. The sides of the Ins. are partly covered by cement. The Ins. is cut in low false relief. Some rougher tooling occurs at the top of the stone.
