A fragment of a 19th century graveslab cut down for reuse as paving at the entrance to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and given a joggled joint. The Ins. is worn. The Freemasons' Hall, Mill Street. Several Freemasons were buried at St. Nicholas' and three stones (Cat. Nos. 186, 219 and 314) bear Masonic symbolism. The Mill Street Lodge, now a Language School and offices, bears a Masonic symbol on one of its gables and used to, until it was extensively altered during the 1970's, also bear limestone plaques with the same symbols and the inscription "ANNO DOMINI 1855".
