Beneath this Stone are entered the Remains of Serjeant Iohn Colquhoune [?si] of the North Mayo Militia who departe4* this life when quartered in Galway with his Regiment on the 20 day of September 1815 in the 55th year of his age and the 22d of his service as a Non- Commissioned officer in that Corps In every Sphere of life his Conduc1 was exemplary and having been Most highly esteemed so he was most Sincerely regretted by his Officers & fellow Soldiers in Testimony of which the Officer in Comd of the Reg1 has Affixed his Signature O.C. Jackson Major N. Mayo Militia
