SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF RICHARD BLAIR BAGLEY. MASTER OF ARTS SOMETIME PROFESSOR OF LATIN IN QUEEN’S COLLEGE. GALWAY. WHO DIED ON THE 11th OF MARCH, 1869. THIS MEMORIAL OF AFFECTION AND REGRET WAS ERECTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND PROFESSORS OF THE COLLEGE.

An illuminated address of condolence was sent by the students of the College to his relatives. "... The students and professors to the number of about 200, proceeded to the residence of the deceased in mournful procession at about 10.45 a.m., all wearing the academic costume pertaining to their assemblage different ranks and degreees...".”...
