Michael  Torpey of  Knockalegan, Templebredon  parish, Co. Limerick married Mary Mackey  on the 7th Feb 1835 in Pallasgrean-Templebredon parish. Children born to them included John Torpey 1836-1913 (recorded here), Mary 1839 & James 1843.

John Torpey 1836-1913 married  Johanna Connors 1830-1894 (recorded here) of Duncummin, Emly, Co. Tipperary on the 16th Feb 1862 in Emly RC. Johanna died Jul 12th 1894, her age at death was recorded as being 64.

Children of John Torpey 1836-1913 & Johanna Connors 1830-1894 included  Michael Torpey 1863-1930 (recorded here), Patrick 1865, William  (Willie) 1867-1896 & Daniel ( Dan ) 1868-1891 (both recorded here and who both died of tuberculosis).

Michael  Torpey 1863-1930 married  Margaret  Moore 1856-1936, daughter of Cornelius Moore & Bridget Ryan of  Gurtnakisteen, Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick  on the 12th Feb 1896 in Templebredon RC, Co. Limerick. They had no family. Margaret Torpey, nee Moore, who had this headstone erected died in Garrydoolis, Templebreon  on the 30th Aug 1936.

Recorded as living with Michael Torpey 1863-1930 & his wife Margaret Moore 1856-1936 in the 1911 census for Garrydoolis, Templebredon  were their three nieces Bridget Moore 1898-1968 (recorded at memorial 0081 in this cemetery), Johanna  (Joe) 1900-1939 (recorded here) and Mary Anne 1902-1943. These were the children of Thomas Moore, (brother of Margaret Moore 1856-1936) & his wife Hanora Connors of Gurtnakisteen, Pallasgrean.

Johanna Moore, known as Josephine (Joe), born 24th Dec 1900, married  Daniel Frawley 1877-1964, son of Michael Frawley & Honora Dwyer of Chancellorsland, Emly, Co. Tipperary in Templebredon RC, Co. Limerick  on the 1st Mar 1938. She died of tuberculosis on Jul 29th 1939. Daniel Frawley was interred at memorial LI-OPLS-150 in Old Pallas cemetery, Co. Limerick on the historicgraves website.

Bridget Moore 1898-1968, married  Edmond O’Donnell 1879-1944 ( of memorial 0081 in this cemetery) on the 10th Feb 1923 in Templebredon RC. Their son John  (Johnny) O’Donnell who died in Garrydoolis is recorded here. He married Josephine (Josie) Lacey, daughter of  John Lacey in Emly RC, Co. Tipperary on the 21st Nov 1945. Josie died at Newtown, Oola, Co. Limerick on the 25th Jun 2008 and was interred in St Coumba’s cemetery in Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick.
