Mural plaque in polished Kilkenny marble of inscribed panel beneath a cartouche with a painted heraldic shield of the Birch family above a scroll bearing a now illegible motto. The cartouche is covered by a label hoodmoulding. A rectangular inscription tablet is framed by a raised border. There is some truncation to the base suggesting this may have originally formed part of a larger, composite monument.
