Description

The graveyard is in the town of Abbeyleix.
Most headstone are upright, but a handful are leaning. 19th - 21st century headstones in good condition. Graveyard is located on different levels on rising ground. The site contains a Catholic Church built c. 1895, linked to a convent.
Rubble stone wall in fair condition; intact, but overgrown; c. 1-2m high with many subdivisions. There are railings around the church itself. Paths are tramacadamed surfaced. Two gates, one to the south and one to the north.
