Located to rear of Abbeyleix Hospital (former site of 19th century Union Workhouse Burial Ground).
Graveyard contains no visible headstones or markers. Marked on 1908 edition OS map as 'Burial Ground'. Probable red brick mortuary chapel adjacent.
Ground surface slopes slightly down to the road in north-east. There are no paths and no gates.
