Originally part of the Drogheda Workhouse, the area served as a burial ground for paupers and is estimated to be 150 years old. A large Celtic Cross stands at its center, with only one marked grave present. This grave, distinguished by a wooden cross, is believed to be the resting place of a German soldier who was washed ashore at Clogherhead.
