These Downeys were known as "The Edmonds", Michael Downey was called Mikey Edmond. 
They were also known as "The Lumpers". Lumpers were a potatoe that was grown the time of the Famine and the nick name goes back to that time. It is not a derogatory term but may mean they were the first to grow those potatoes locally.  
Michael's son Eamon moved from Conahy to farm in Aharney, Lisdowney
