The following information is from Teddy O'Riordan, Mountmusic, Toames. Jeremiah Murphy was known as Master Murphy. He was a teacher in Tarelton NS. His wife Johanna was a teacher in Droumleigh NS. Jeremiah was born in Carrigadrohid. His father Jeremiah, mother Mary, sister Norah and brother Jack also lived there. Jack was well known locally as 'Jack the Carpenter'. The parents of Johanna, the first person commemorated, were Peter and Kate Good, who were teachers in the old NS in Toames near the church. Johanna's brother Henry was a teacher in Johnstown NS. Henry married a McSweeney from Johnstown, whose sister Joan McSweeney O'Sullivan taught in Canovee NS.
