On the 8th April 1881 and in the 74th
year of his age departed the remains of
the said Revd John Leonard who had been for
4 years the pius exemplar & charitable pastor
of this Parish.  Here also lieth the
dearly beloved son of Richd Sheild of Arcath
the Revd Nicholas Sheild who departed this life
the 7th April 1886 in the 86th year of his Age &
third year of his ministry  And here Also
is buried his brother the Revd Richd Sheild who died
on the 27th Decr 1840 in the 35th year of his age
second year of his ministry.
those Revd brothers who lived and died for
their humility.  Zeal pray
by Calling them early to himself
